This / that / these /  those   เป็นได้ทั้ง Pronoun และ Adjective

This/ These ใช้กับคำนามที่อยู่ใกล้ตัวผู้พูด

     -   เมื่อเป็น pronoun  ใช้แทนคำนาม  This ใช้แทนคำนามเอกพจน์ Theseใช้แทนคำนามพหูพจน์

            - What is this?                        This is a hammer.

            - What are these?                  These are nails.

-          เมื่อเป็น Adjective ใช้ขยายคำนาม This ขยายคำนามเอกพจน์ These ใช้ขยายคำนามพหูพจน์

-          This book is red.                         - These books are cheap.

-          I don’t like this chair.                   - These flowers have good smell.

That / Those ใช้กับคำนามที่อยู่ไกลตัวผู้พูด

     -     เมื่อเป็น Pronoun ใช้แทนคำนาม That ใช้แทนคำนามเอกพจน์  Those ใช้แทนคำนามที่เป็นพหูพจน์

            -       What is that?                   That is a crew.

 -      What are those?              Those are screwdriver.

     -    เมื่อเป็น Adjective .ใช้ขยายคำนาม That ใช้ขยายคำนามเอกพจน์ Those ใช้ขยายคำนามพหูพจน์

            -  That man is my brother.                          - That screw is small.

            - Those girls are singing.                            - Those cows give us milk.
